Taxus chinensis var. Mairei is the precious species with values of medicine, wood and aesthetic enjoyment etc. from China. the status and progress about tissue culture, cell culture, molecular marker and genetic engineering from Taxus chinensis var. Mairei were mainly summarized. Furthermore, the problems of the biotechnology research and the key research were pointed out.
