Yield Comparison of 10 Maize Lines (Variety) and Correlation Degree Analysis for the Main Agronomic Characters

Abstract: Through the yields comparison and the correlation degree analysis for the main agronomic characters with yield in Southeast region, the results were: line 2011QS04 and line 2011QS05 could be production test, because they were significantly better than the other 8 lines, correlation degree analysis showed that the importance of the agronomic characters was: 100-seed weight > ear length > row grains > leaves > tassel branch > ear stalk length/ear position internode length > ear diameter > bald > ear position height > ear rows > plant height. So we should select the varieties (strains) of 100-seed weight bigger, ear length longer, more row grains and more leaves.
