Abstract: With the coming and the development of information age, people’s way of life and working and even their ideologies are changing at an unprecedented rate. People now are enjoying the conveniences that informatization provides and various sectors and industries are moving in giant strides to embrace the informatization. Information Age have also injects new vitality into personal files management, demanding new changes for development. This paper presents a brief review of the informatization process in China’s archives management, focusing on the current situation, and also points out that the informatization of personnel files is now in its initial stage. The author, working in the field for many years, intends to undertake an analytic discussion on how to carry out the informatization work of personnel files in Ministry of Agriculture. And suggestions like overall deployment, centralized archives construction, joint update, different storage and separate depository are made subsequently.
