Abstract: In order to produce high quality landscape trees, this paper had studied grafting techniques for six years. We selected 6 high value landscape tree species, such as Loropetalum chinensis, Lagerstroemia indica var. Alba, Ligustrum lucidum, Ulmus parvifolia, Acer spp., Camellia olifera. The paper researched the aged trees grafting techniques from four aspects such as transplant, grafting, the management and art shape. The results showed that planting on higher position and related technical measures could enhance the survival rate above 92% of transplanting significantly. Same directional with the original place and physical fixed auxiliary could prevent the big tree bark broken. The research also showed that using the special nail to fix and cover in plastic wrap, could improve the grafting survival rate above 86%. Wooden support could guide the branches build higher artistic ornamental value.
