Abstract: It was studied that the effect of the greenhouse with silvery plastic film on the soil on the phenology, fruit quality and economic benefit of ‘Linhai zao da mei’. The eleven-year-old trees were tested after the transplant for 3 years. The greenhouse and the soil were covered on January 11, 2013 and February 13, 2013 respectively. The temperature and humidity inside and outside of the greenhouse were detected real time. The phenology the bayberry tree was observed. The average quality of single bayberry fruit, the content of soluble solids and the yield per hectare of ‘Linhai zao da mei’ were tested. Compared outside the greenhouse, the temperature and humidity were significantly increased inside, and the phenology significant earlier, flowering period with 16 days, fruit ripe time with 21 days. The average fruit quality were increased by 10%, and the content of soluble solids increased by 2.1 percentage points, and the yield per hectare increased by 45.6%, and the net economic value increased with 1265610 Chinese yuan. The matureness of bayberry fruit were earlier, and the average single fruit quality and the content of soluble solids were increased significantly in the greenhouse with the soil covered with plastic film.
