Abstract: We conducted a 16-day culture experiment for tilapia (Oreochromisniloticus) to study the relationships among water quality parameters in recirculating aquaculture system. Five water quality parameters (including ammonia, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, pH and temperature) and the amount of daily feeding were analyzed with principal component analysis. Results showed that the first principal component F1 is mainly related to pH, alkalinity and daily feeding; F2 is mainly related to dissolved oxygen and temperature; F3 is mainly related to ammonia. Besides, there is significant relationship between pH and alkalinity, ammonia and daily feeding, dissolved oxygen and temperature.
