Abstract: To evaluate and select excellent germplasm resources of Vitis quinquangularis, the biological and agronomic characters (such as leaf, branch, clusters and berries, etc.) were investigated in the 38 Vitis quinquangularis germplasm resources which are native to northern Guangxi karst district. The results showed that, there were widely differences in biological and agronomic characters and high polymorphism among germplasm resources. After comparing and selecting, 4 resources with excellent traits (such as large clusters, high soluble solid content, etc.) were gained. The study could provide the basis for breeding new Vitis quinquangularis variety with high yield and fine quality.
