A Discussion on the National Standards of Disease Grades of Fusarium Wilt, Verticillium Wilt and Seedling Root Rots of Cotton

Abstract

Abstract: In order to make the national rating standards on cotton Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt and root rots of cotton seedling being rigorous, scientific and feasible, and meet the demand of the scientific research and production, this article reviewed the birth and development of the national rating standard on cotton Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt and root rots of cotton seedling, and approved the roles of some rating standards on the research and control of the three diseases. It also pointed out the defects of GB/T 17980.92—2004 and GB/T 17980.93—2004. In addition, it compared the effects of different rating standards on the statistical results of disease index. According to the theories of setting plant disease rating standards and various examples of plant disease rating home and abroad, the article provided some suggestions on how to revise the disease rating standards of cotton Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt and root rots of cotton seedling.
