Abstract: The study optimized the condition of using high performance liquid chromatography to determinate the endogenous hormones IAA, GA3, ZT and ABA of sugar beet. The objective of the study was to demonstrate the effects of different treatments of boron concentration on endogenous hormones content and proportions and to provide a strong support in theory for sugar beet production practice. The test materials were sugar beet monogerm HI0099, by the method of water culture, the test set acute deficient, deficient, moderate and excessive concentrations of boron nutrition conditions. Then content of hormones in the leaves of sugar beet were determined by HPLC. The results showed that, with boron concentration added, the content of IAA, GA3 and ZT increased at first and then decreased, ABA content changed in the contrary way. Lacking of boron and boron poison stress could make the content of IAA, GA3 and ZT decrease and the content of ABA increase at the same time. Lacking of boron, boron nutrition level and sugar beet ZT/ABA had significantly positive correlation (r=0.866*), under poison stress of boron, boron nutrition had significantly positive correlation (r=0.958*) with plant leaf ABA content, and significant negative correlation (r=-0.915*) with ratio ZT/ABA. The comprehensive?analysis showed that boron changed the hormone levels and balance of sugar beet leaves. We could control the plant endogenous hormone balance through field test and use exogenous plant growth regulator to relieve the boron stress eventually.
