Abstract: In order to study the effect of different ratios of orange and blue LED light on photobiological characteristics of Paris polyphylla var. yunannensis, and provide a theoretical basis for the LED light used in the production of P. polyphylla var. yunannensis, 3-year-old seedlings of P. polyphylla var. yunannensis were selected as materials. Four light quality treatments were set by orange 620 nm and blue 460 nm LED light as O:B=2:1, O:B=4:1, O:B=6:1, and O:B=8:1, the influences on biological fresh weight, photosynthetic characteristics and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters were studied. The results showed that the combination of O:B=4:1 was most beneficial to the synthesis of photosynthetic pigments, with the highest efficiency of passing luminous energy, while the set of O:B=8:1 had the lowest one. The net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, intercellular CO2 concentration and transpiration rate were the highest under the combination of O:B=4:1, while O:B=2:1 ranked the lowest. Besides, O:B=4:1 combination also owned the highest parameters in Fv/Fm, Fv''/Fm'', ΦPS, qP. As a conclusion, all photosynthesis and fluorescence parameters showed that O:B=4:1 combination was most advantageous to photosynthesis of Paris polyphylla var. yunannensis leaves.
