Abstract: This study aims at clarifying the molecular mechanisms of IAA and ABA in the development of sugar beet. The IAA and ABA biosynthesis genes were identified by bioinformatics. The gene expression was detected by qRT-PCR, and the concentrations of IAA and ABA were analyzed quantitatively by UPLC/MS/MS. Results showed that BvIAA6, BvIAA26 and BvIAA33 coordinately regulated IAA concentration, while ABA concentration was controlled by BvABA2, BvABA3, BvNCED1 and BvNCED5. ABA concentration was higher than that of IAA, but IAA was more powerful to promote plant growth than ABA. IAA and ABA biosynthesis genes had tissue specific expression. These findings elaborate the molecular mechanism of IAA and ABA in reproductive growth of sugar beet and provide references for crop breeding.
