Abstract:

Based on the status quo of large-scale fishery platforms, deep-sea cages and aquaculture working vessel at home and abroad, this paper puts forward the concept of “cruise” aquaculture working vessel and introduced that offshore fishery in foreign countries originated from deep-sea cages and developed on floating platforms. At present, due to the objective factors such as investment cost and technology development level, the offshore fishery industry development is slow in China, but some achievements have been made in recent years. In view of the current situation of extensive production mode of fishery, the paper analyzes the necessity of the development of offshore fisheries from the perspectives of national strategy, fishery reform and industrial demand, and points out that the development of large-scale fishery platform, represented by aquaculture working vessels, is one of the effective ways to realize a powerful fishery, and it is imperative to find a way to develop offshore fishery platform suitable for China’s national condition.
