Abstract:
A field experiment of Brassica chinensis, including two successive growing seasons, was conducted from October 2010 to December 2010 in Zhuzhou, in order to investigate effect of different soil amelioration materials on the remediation of Cd contaminated soil. The results showed that fresh weight of Brassica chinensis aboveground was no difference among three amelioration treatments. Compared to CK treatment, the soil pH increased significantly while DTPA-extracted Cd and the content of Cd of Brassicarapa aboveground reduced with lime treatment. The soil pH with was suitable for growing for Brassica rapa with calcium magnesium phosphate and manure treatment, however DTPA-extracted Cd and the content of Cd of Brassica chinensis aboveground had no difference among calcium magnesium phosphate, manure and CK treatments. Then, lime was available amelioration materials for Cd contaminated soil. Application rate of lime was no more than 13 t/hm2 in field. The aftereffect of lime treatment should be further studied in field condition.
