Abstract: Comparing analysis on the main agronomic characters and nutrients content in grains of different kinds of waxy-grained maize hybrids were made according to data from regional tests. The results showed that the dominant species of hybrid in ripe were those charactering with mean height and early- or medium-maturing; the medium types dominated the spikes and grains; and the significant difference lied in the yielding of fresh spikes and dried grains. Different changes in nutrients content of grains of different types had been determined during optimum gathering and maturing stages. The content of protein, coarse cellulose, soluble sugar in grains at the stage of maturing were decreased comparing with the stage of optimum gathering but the content of total starch and coarse fat increased in reverse. The significant difference still lied in the thickness of grain peels.
