Review of Mycoplasma Hyopneumoniae Detection Programme in Its Eradication

Abstract:

Mycoplasmal Pneumonia of Swine (MPS) was caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp), one of the most important causes of disease associated loss in swine production worldwide. Many developed countries, particularly in Western Europe and North America, control the disease through eradicate the pathogeny. When start to a programme to eradication Mhp, a diagnostic tools for the identification of Mhp must be implement to monitor success and remain vigilant to disease threats. However, the diagnostic programmes used in each farm were different. There was a lack of reliable diagnostic programme for the identification of Mhp negative herd. This paper gave a review to some diagnostic tools for eradicating the MPS in different farms worldwide and summarized them for domestic eradicating the MPS.
