Study on Physiological, Ecological and Economic Benefit of Different Row Number Ratio Configurations of Maize-potato Intercropping System in Arid Land

Abstract: In order to achieve the maximum yield and production value of maize-potato intercropping model, different row number ratio configurations were used to screen out the configuration for the maximum yield increase. The results showed that the optimal row number ratio (maize: potato) was 1:7, which could achieve the group production capacity of potato and increase the yield of maize by the upper heat resource of potato. This configuration could develop the yield ability of maize at the greatest degree, the photosynthetic available radiation, leaf chlorophyll content, leaf nitrogen content, and biological determination values and yield trait were higher than that of other configurations.
