Effect of SA on the Seedling Growth and Waterlogging Resistance of Glycine max Merr. under Water Stresss

Abstract: Effect of SA on the seedling growth and waterlogging resistance of Glycine max Merr. under water stress was studied in the experiment. The results showed: promotion seedling growth, increasing the root activity, the chlorophyll content, the proline content and suppressed MDA content, reduced the cell permeability compared with the control after treated with SA, and thus effectively enhanced the resistance of the seedling to the waterlogging environment. From the comparison five kinds of different treatments, the 2mmol/L treatments worked best under waterlogging stress.
