Abstract: Eight plant pigments are used to dye of fresh cut Zantedeschia aethiopica. The study proves that they can all dye fresh cut Zantedeschia aethiopica. Pepper Red pigment, Tartrazine and Tea Yellow pigment are the most suitable pigments, followed by Ponceau, Grape Violet and Brilliant Blue. Carotene and Yellow pigment of Cucurbita Moschata Duch-Blossom are not suitable for frest cut Zantedeschia aethiopica. The suitable dyeing density, time and PH for different plant pigment are Pepper Red pigment(6g/L、4h、8.7), Tartrazine(10g/L、5h、9.7), Tea Yellow pigment(9g/L、5h、10.4), Ponceau(15g/L、8h、10.7), Grape Violet(15g/L、9h、9.4), Brilliant Blue(20g/L、9h、6.6), Carotene(15g/L、11h、7.5), Yellow pigment of Cucurbita Moschata Duch-Blossom(12g/L、12h、7.5). It dyes fast, but is not even, appears stain in the condition of high temperature and low humidity. The dyeing effects are not significant for the length of stem. The vast effects are better than the immerse effects. The vast life becomes shorter after dyeing.
