A Study on the Dynamic Changes of Phenolic Compounds in Leaves, Fruit, and Calyx of Mopan Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L. f.cv. Mopan)

Abstract: Mopan Persimmon is the major cultivar of astringent persimmon in northern China. This experiment followed the contents of phenolic compounds in leaves, fruit flesh, and fruit calyx in different growing stages of Persimmon, the results showed that: the content of phenolic compounds in fruit calyx increased constantly, this change pattern was fully different with that of the fruit flesh; the phenolic compounds in the leaves was always higher than that in the fruit flesh; the differences existed in the contents of phenolic compounds between branches with fruits and branches without fruit: Before the end of August, the contents value of branches with fruits was higher than the value of branches without fruit, after the end of August, on the contrary, the contents value of branches with fruits was lower than the value of branches without fruit.
