Abstract:

Vegetation is one of the important factors in the ecosystem. An in-depth understanding of the changes and driving factors of vegetation cover could provide important reference for ecological environmental protection. Taking Aksu as the research area, the NDVI variation characteristics from 2001 to 2019 were analyzed based on the long-term series of MODIS data. The relationship between vegetation and climate was explored by using two methods: linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results showed that: from 2001 to 2019, the vegetation cover in Aksu showed an overall increasing trend and the trend was most obvious in summer which was the growing season. The vegetation cover of the study area showed a pattern of spreading mainly from oasis to the surrounding areas. The NDVI response to temperature and precipitation in the growing season showed significant seasonal differences, and had an extremely significant correlation with temperature but not obvious correlation with precipitation. The impact of human production and life on the change of vegetation cover had both positive and negative aspects.
