Abstract:

This study systematically sorted out the development context, research hotspots and future trends in the field of water-fertilizer coupling research. Based on CNKI and Web of Science core paper databases, relevant literature during 1995 to 2024 was searched, and the number of publications, issuing institutions, authors, and keywords co-occurrence, clustering, and emergence were visualized and analyzed using CiteSpace analysis tool, and the knowledge map in the field of water-fertilizer coupling was constructed. The results showed that water-fertilizer coupling research had made remarkable progress in recent years, and the number of articles published in this field had been on the rise in general, and China had become the core force of research in this field. The journals with more articles are Water Saving and Irrigation, Journal of Irrigation and Drainage, Environmental Sciences, etc.. At present, this field is more active in the direction of drip irrigation, drip irrigation under membrane, drip irrigation fertilization, etc. In the future, it would develop in the direction of soil nutrients, water and fertilizer utilization system construction, etc., in order to deeply respond to the challenges of resource shortage, environmental pollution and sustainable development of agriculture, and to explore the water and fertilizer coupling technology and other new improvement measures, which would help to efficiently utilize the resources, protect the environment, increase the efficiency of agricultural production, and promote the perpetual development of the modernization of agriculture.
