Abstract: To investigate the influences of vermicomposting on growth of cutting root and rhizosphere, the experiment was carried out. Shixia longan was used as tested plants. The cuttin root was put into the rhizosphere bag that was contained vermicompasting, cow dung and orchard soil, respectively. The results showed that: the quantity of fresh roots in vermicompasting and cow dung improved 342.3% and 231.6% compared with the orchard soil, respectively. The content of nitrogen in vermicompasting was higher 144.3% and 434.1% than in cow dung and in orchard soil, respectively. The content of phosphorus in vermicompasting was higher 366.5% and 1256.0% than in cow dung and in orchard soil, respectively. The content of potassium in vermicompasting was higher 248.9% and 392.0% than in cow dung and in orchard soil, respectively. Compared with the orchard soil, the quantity of actinomycete in vermicompasting and cow dung improve 240.5% and 211.1% ,respectively. The quantity of germ improve 255.9% and 229.6%, respectively. The quantity of epiphyte in cow dung improve 204.6% then orchard soil, but vermicompasting and orchard soil was similar. Therefore, vermicompasting was the best matter suitting to groth of root.
