Abstract: The transfer of the rural housing land usufruct remains a hot topic for years in the field of land management in China partly because of the complexity and difficulties. This paper summarizes the current situation about it, discusses the problems arising from it, analyzes the causes for it, and finally puts forward some suggestions and measures to perfect it, in an attempt to make it go on a track of institutionalization, standardization and legalization.
