Research on Risk Assessment of Agricultural Non-Point Source Pollution with GIS

Abstract: In order to meet the needs of agricultural non-point source pollution control, on the base of analysis of the effect factors of agricultural non-point source pollution, the risk assessment model for agricultural non-point source pollution are established. GIS was employed to derive all the data and evaluate model in order to get spatial variance and distribution of the risk levels on different scales within study area. The evaluation results can supply the pollution control with target areas. The model was evaluated at 100m grid cell in Hangbuhe river watershed. The evaluation does not have high demands on basis data, and its results are accurate. There is a potential for the method to be used for pollution control under the limited data conditions as Hangbuhe river watershed.
