Abstract: Abstract: Morphology of adventitious root formation in hardwood cuttings of Autotetraploid Grape Muscat Hamburg was studied. The cuttages of Autotetraploid Grape Muscat Hamburg, diploid Grape Muscat Hamburg, Bate, Kyoho Grape and Dog Ridge were used as materials in this paper. The cutting was carried in automatic temperature control cutting bed. The rooting rate, the root number and root length per cottage, and the number and length of lateral roots per primary root were investigated termly. The results indicated that the date of adventitious root emerge of Autotetraploid Grape Muscat Hamburg was postponed 3d in hardwood cutting. The rooting rate, the root number and the root growth per cuttage decreased remarkably. After cutting 21d, The rooting rate, the root number and the root length per cuttage were 22.6%, 0.52, and 1.6cm respectively. They were significantly lower than diploid Grape Muscat Hamburg, whose rooting rate, root number and root length per cuttage were 58.8%, 3.27 and 14.6cm respectively.
