Abstract: The effect of cutting season, plant growth regulators and their concentration on the rooting ratio, the length and number of adventitious root systems of Leucadendron cv. Inca Gold cuttings were compared. The results showed the rooting ratio of the cuttings was the highest in December in green house with auto-irrigation system. IBA could significantly increase the rooting ratio, the length of the adventitious roots, and somewhat the number of adventitious roots. The effect of IBA increased consistently with the concentration. NAA could also increase the rooting ratio and improve the root quality of the cuttings on a certain extent, but the effect was not significant. The average rooting ratio of the half matured cuttings collected from the nursery in December could be 86.67% after immersing in the solution with 3000ppm-4000ppm IBA for 1-2 minutes. The rooted cuttings each had 15 adventitious roots with an average length of 5cm.
