Abstract:

In modern biological study, a variety of “omics” have come forth, and they have accelerated the development in the field of system biology. With respect to all the aspects of nucleic acids, proteins, metabolites, and phenotypes as well, “omics” mainly includes genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabonomics, plant ionomics, interactomics, and physiomics / phenomics. By integration of the latest achievements and the coming trends, the concept, new technologies and progress are systematically reviewed in current article, which is helpful to well understand system biology and keep up with the advances.
