Abstract: In recent years the farmers income and living standard has been raised greatly, but obvious gap still exists between urban and rural areas and it is also being enlarged. There are historical and policy reasons for the formation of the income gap. Through reviewing the present situation of the urban-rural incom gap, the writer tries to analyze the reasons for the enlargement of income gap from the view of agricultural policy and offers some countermeasures to narrow the gap.
