Abstract:

The activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), the contents of malondiadehyde(MDA)and soluble sugar of bamboo leaves of Bambusa multiple, B. multiplex var. multiplex, B.multiplex var. riviereorum, Sasa auricoma and S. glabraf. alba-striata, which introduced to Qingdao ,were studied under natural drought condition. The results suggested that the longer the drought stress, the bigger the contents of MDA and soluble sugar, the bigger the activities of SOD. The method of obscure mathematics was used to evaluate their drought resistance ability comprehensively based on physiological and biochemical indexes. The results indicated a drought resistance sequence .And it was that both of the drought resistance of Bambusa multiplex var.riviereorum≈Bambusa multiplex var. multiplex > Sasa auricoma E.G.Camus≈Sasa glabra f. alba-striata Muroi > B.multiplex (Lour.)Raeuschel.
