Abstract:

Abstract: The rural community cooperatives replaced the collective economic organizations which had exist more than 50 years in some developed rural area in China. We take Chenxiang as an example to study the property rights of rural community cooperatives. The rural community cooperatives property rights are clarified. The shareholders have property ownership, control rights and residual claimant. The rights and interests of shareholders will not be deprived when shareholders move. The cooperatives asset will not be mixed or removed simply when residences combine. The rural community cooperatives have more institutional performances than the rural collective economic organization. The rural community cooperatives favor development of rural democratic institution, favor keeping same value or increment of assets and increasing of villagers’ income, also favor migration and rural urbanization. The rural community cooperative is an optional institution for the building of new countryside.
