Abstract:

Two HMW glutenin subunits in Aegilops biuncialis, named with Glu-Aeb1 and Glu-Aeb2,can be easily identified from common wheat using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. 21 Aegilops biuncialis and common wheat hybrid progenies（BC2F6）along with 15 hybrids（F0）of BC2F5 and common wheat hybrid progenies were studied using SDS-PAGE. The results showed that all the materials are in possession of Aegilops biuncialis HMW glutenin subunits. The transfer frequency of Glu-Aeb1 in BC2F6 and F0 are 59.52% and 20.94%,respectively. While the transfer frequency of Glu-Aeb2 in BC2F6 and F0 are 40.48% and 22.96%, respectively．
