Abstract:

Based on 66 meteorological stations＇data of monthly average temperature, precipitation, wind speed, pressure and relative humidity in Fujian Province from 1971 to 2004, it calculated potential evapotranspiration and humid index, analyzed the temporal and spatial distribution of humid index and their causes of variation. The results showed that in the past 34 years, the humid index in Fujian Province was highest (2.73) in the period of 1991 to 2000 and the lowest (2.22) in the period of 1981 to 1990, which with a slight increase as a whole. The spatial distribution trend of humid index value was increasing from southeast to northwest. The change of the humid index was mainly influenced by precipitation and potential evapotranspiration. Sunshine duration and relative humidity which had great influence on potential evapotranspiration were all correlated with the humid index significantly. This study provided important scientific basis for the future of surface humid status in Fujian Province by researching on the evolvement law of surface humid status and the regional characteristics.
