Cloning and sequencing of DNA encoding conservative regions of resveratrol synthase in leafs of four grape plants

Abstract:

PCR primers were designed according to the consensus sequence of some resveratrol synthase (RS) genes registered in GenBank. The results showed that four PCR products had 635 bp of neclotides without any introns in their DNA sequences and that they encoded 211 amino acids. All of the fragments contained the conserved structure domains of RS gene, for example, specific for RS activity core and the family signature sequence for stilbene synthase.
