Abstract:

Land, the chief resource for people’s life, is the fundamental production material for agriculture. It is significant to set up perfect rural land system for the promotion of the social harmony. On basis of a comprehensive application of the economics, sociology and law, the present paper studied the problems existing in the prevailing rural land system such as conflicts on the value position of the rural land management right, incomplete definition of the use right of the homestead, and imperfect requisition system of the rural land, and further had a close look on the causes of these problems. In addition, the author, on basis of a detailed study of the relationship between the rural land and social security system, put forward a suggestive proposal that setting up rural modern social security system should be done together with perfecting the reform of rural land system, which would basically improve the production efficiency on the part of the peasants, protect their legal rights and eventually achieve great promotion of the agricultural industry.
