Abstract: To measure sciencifically and precisely the growth quantity of tea plant shoot by some non-destructive indexes, SAS statistic software is used to fit the relationship between shoot weight and shoot length and the number of leaves of each shoot. The result shows that shot weight can be cluculated probably only by its shoot length ,that ,however, the fitting formula including shoot length,the number of leaves of shots and the length of buds is more precise sand advisable，that bud length is one independent index and it is unadvisable to include bud length in shoot length, The that .fitting formula are effected differentiently by soil water levers. So, in the experiments calculating the growth quantity of shoot by no picking, calculating formula should be fitted respectively according to different experinmental treatments.
