Study and application of sex pheromone of click beetle (Coleoptera: Elateridae)

Abstract: Application of sex pheromone of insects for monitoring and controlling is one of the important IPM strategies. Wireworms is a kind of the main soil pests all over the world for its miscellaneous eating habits, hidden hazards and adult stage is its only period to expose on the ground, so applying the sex pheromone of click beetle is an important method to monitor and control the wireworm population. The sex pheromone of click beetle was reviewed from the terms of distilled, isolated and identified, and its application status in this paper, to provide a guidance for the study of it.
