Abstract: In order to study the feasibility of different high-yield maize planted in the planting area of Heilongjiang spring maize, ‘Xianyu 335’ and ‘Zhengdan 958’ varieties were selected and the grain filling and dehydration characteristics of them were analyzed. The quick velocity of grain filling, physiologic dehydration, and higher yield in ‘Xianyu 335’ were found, whereas those of long duration period of grain filling in ‘Zhengdan 958’ and slow velocity of grain filling in early and middle of filling period were compared. While the quick velocity of grain filling and natural dehydration, and high yield were found in the later of filling period of ‘Zhengdan 958’. It is possible for ‘Zhengdan 958’ as a candidate for variety alternate and diversification to be planted in the zone which has higher accumulated temperature in Heilongjiang province.
