Abstract: In order to study the occurrence regularity and the influence of temperature on the population dynamics of Empoasca onukii, yellow sticky traps were hung in tea plantation to trap Empoasca onukii, and temperature gradients were set up in the laboratory to determine the survival rate. The results showed that the population of adults had two peaks every year in this region, appearing from late June to early August and from early September to late November. Laboratory research showed that a mass mortality of Empoasca onukii appeared under extreme temperature stress in the short term. So the suitable temperature for Empoasca onukii was 16.79-22.78℃. A massive mortality would appear when the average temperature was below 10℃ or above 29℃.
