Abstract: In order to conduct scientific fertilization on dryland flax, the effect of combined fertilization of nitrogen and phosphorus on total sugar content and quality was studied. The results showed that combined fertilization of nitrogen and phosphorus could increase the content of total sugar in plants, and the content reached the highest when the application amount of nitrogen and phosphorus was 60 kg/hm2, respectively. In the whole growth period, the total sugar content in plants showed a M type, and reached the bottom in squaring period. Different combinations of nitrogen and phosphorus had different effects on flax oil length, linoleic acid content and palmitic acid content, but the contents of stearic acid and oleic acid were higher than that of CK (N0P0). Compared with no fertilization, single application of nitrogen or phosphate could increase the grain yield of flax, but the increasing effect of combined fertilization was more obvious, the yield of treatment N1P1 was 1620.81 kg/hm2, which increased by 27.24% in comparing with that of CK (N0P0).
