Therapeutic Effect of Ozonized Olive Oil on Different Degrees of Cow Endometritis

Abstract: [Objective] In view of the environmental pollution and drug resistance caused by antibiotics, a kind of disinfectant, which is ozonized olive oil based on the sterilization theory of Ozone was developed. [Method]According to the earlier result of the isolation and identification of bacteria, and drug sensitivity test of endometritis uterine contents from endometritis dairy cows in neighboring regions of Beijing, florfenicol, doxycycline hydrochloride and vinegar acid chlorhexidine were designed as control, ozonized olive oil as test to investigate the therapeutic effects of 368 dairy cattle with different degrees of endometritis. At the same time, in order to verify the damage to the endometrium of the olive oil, the mouse uterus perfusion test was carried out. [Results] There was no significant difference in effective rate between ozonized olive oil group and antibiotic drugs on therapeutic effect of catarrhal and purulent endometritis (P>0.05). As for purulent endometritis was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05), but no significant difference in the cure rate(P>0.05). [Conclusion] The ozonized olive oil can replace antibiotics in the prevention and treatment of catarrhal and mucinous endometritis to a certain degree.
