Abstract: Immobilized microorganisms, which take polyvinyl alcohol, sodium alginate and activated carbon as solidified carrier materials, are based on compound bacteria in order to treat biogas slurry wastewater from large-scale livestock and poultry farms. The removal rate of CODCr, NH4+-N and NO3·N were used as the main index. The effect of hydraulic retention time on the immobilized microorganism treating process of bio-gas slurry waste water was investigated. The results showed that: the optimum hydraulic retention time was 2 days, the removal rate of CODCr, NH4 +- N and NO3 · N reached the highest as 78.15% , 92.69% and 76.58% , respectively; after the experiments, the concentrations of CODCr, NH4+-N and NO3·N were 357.92, 39.84 and 88.84 mg/L, respectively; the effluent quality met withThe Standards for the Discharge of Waste Water from Livestock and Poultry Breeding (GB 18596-2001). Therefore, when hydraulic retention time is 2 days, the purification ability of immobilized microorganism to biogas slurry can reach the highest.
