Abstract: The ratio and allocation of carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) in ecological stoichiometry have become hot topics of global climate change research, because C, N, P are necessary elements of plant growth, their supply restrict the plants growth and the microorganisms function. However, at present, human activities have greatly changed the C, N and P cycle, which changes the nutrient transport model, quantity and the degree of nutrient limitation, resulting in the current situation of widespread nutrient deficiency of temperate forests has been changed. The authors analyzed the contents of C, N and P, ecological stoichiometric ratio, limiting elements and their relationships with soil nutrient, and compared with those of tropical and subtropical forests, meanwhile, the ecological chemometrics characteristics of the forest leaf were summarized. In addition, the authors also reviewed some factors affecting the stoichiometric ratio of plant leaves, which would provide reference for the future study of ecological stoichiometry. The advice by the literature data as follows: the relationship of plant fresh leaves, exotic leaves, soil and microbes must be studied together, and for the different trees species, strengthen the effects of different parameters of the ecological factors such as crown, vertical structure and succession, temperature and precipitation on the ecological chemometrics characteristics.
