Abstract: In order to improve the appearance quality, aroma and taste with a satisfied economic gains by commercial released of oriental tobacco cv. Nm6, the impact of method of fertilization and two nitrogen forms on chemical components , aroma related elements and economic traits was evaluated. The results showed that the content of sugar and nicotine in the second treatment (nitrogen form ratios 1.22:0:1, with potassium nitrate as base fertilizer, urea as top-dressing) was at a moderate level, the content of aromas was higher and the color was bright and the taste was alcohol-absorbed. There also observed the highest economic performance when compared to other treatments. This research work suggested that suitable fertilizing method would increase leaf quality and get a sound income from oriental tobacco leaf production.
