Agricultural Soil Nutrients Evaluation and Analysis: Dali County

Abstract: The authors analyzed pH value, organic matter, total nitrogen, alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium of 490 agricultural soil samples collected in Dali County. The data were statistically summed up by Microsoft Excel 2010. The results showed that agricultural soil in Dali County were mainly alkaline. The content of organic matter was moderately deficient and the total nitrogen was slightly deficient. The content of alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen was deficient; available phosphorus was moderately low; available potassium was moderately rich. It is concluded that the soil fertility could be improved by changing soil pH value, increasing the inputs of nitrogen and phosphorus, thus to improve the crop yield and quality.
