Abstract:

The effects of magnetic field with different intensities and different processing time on seed germination and seedling stress resistance of Bupleurum chinense were studied in order to provide a basis for artificial cultivation of B.chinense. Adopted a double-layer filter paper culture method, the treated seeds were cultured in the incubator at 25℃ with 40% light. The germination rate, germination energy and the shoot height of the seedling were recorded. The physiological indexes such as chlorophyll content and enzymatic activities of CAT, POD and SOD in leaves were measured. The germination rate, germination energy, enzymatic activities of CAT, POD and SOD in most treated seeds and seedlings were higher than that in the control, the germination rate and enzymatic activity of POD and SOD were the highest under the condition of 100 mT, 55 min. Meanwhile, the seed vigor decreased with the prolonged store time of the seeds. The proper magnetic field can significantly promote seed germination and stress resistance of B.chinense, which is of great significance to artificial cultivation of B. chinense.
