Abstract: To reveal the relationship between yield per plant and main agronomic traits of non-heading Chinese cabbage, the grey relation analysis method was adopted to analyze the correlation between yield per plant and eight main agronomic traits of 18 non-heading Chinese cabbage strains. The results indicated that the 8 main agronomic traits were related to yield per plant in the order as follows: plant width> maximum leaf width> maximum leaf petiole width> maximum leaf petiole thickness> number of leaves> maximum leaf length> plant height> maximum leaf petiole length. Plant width, maximum leaf width and maximum leaf petiole width had the maximum influence on yield per plant of non-heading Chinese cabbage. To obtain new non-heading Chinese cabbage varieties with preferable yield in breeding practice, the selection of plant width, maximum leaf width and maximum leaf petiole width should be emphasized, while the selection of other traits should be taken into account.
