Abstract:

To discuss the status of climate suitability of crops in China, make better use of climate resources, and provide a theoretical basis for planting plans and protection measures for crops, we summarized the common methods used in the study of climate suitability of crops, and discussed the principles, advantages and disadvantages of each method and the scope of their application; on the basis of this, we reviewed the research progress on the climate suitability of 5 crops, including rice, wheat, corn, cotton and tobacco in China. The results show that: the research on the climate suitability of crops in China has been gradually deepened, and played an important role in making full use of climate resources and rational production measures. MAXENT model, geographic information system, integral regression method, analytic hierarchy process and other technologies have their own advantages and disadvantages. The comprehensive application of these methods and the continuous improvement of new technologies will provide new ideas for the study of climate suitability of crops.
