Abstract:

In this study, county data from 2000 to 2019 were used to analyze the evolution process of the system and the change of grain production and center of gravity in microcosmic space with Guangdong Province as an example, so as to find out the change of grain production in key regions and southwest regions of Guangdong from 2000 to 2019. The results showed that the trend of the middle to the east was strong, and it gradually moved around with the Pearl River Delta as the center, showing a general trend of “east, west expansion, north fluctuation, and Pearl River Delta contraction”. In addition, grain production was gradually shifting to key counties. The output of the top ten grain producing counties accounted for 22%-25% of the provincial total output, the output of the top 20 grain producing counties accounted for 40%-43%, the output of the top 40 grain producing counties accounted for 63%-68%, and the regional pattern has remained relatively stable in recent years.

Key words: grain, spatial evolution, gravity center change, grouping, regional differentiation
