Abstract:

The aim of the study is to select the key factors affecting the contribution rate of peanut yield in cultivar introduction to the southeastern margin of Tarim Basin of Xinjiang, and to provide evidence for peanut introduction and breeding in this area. 20 main domestic peanut cultivars introduced to the southeastern margin of Tarim Basin of Xinjiang were taken as the test materials, and the yield and agronomic traits were analyzed by grey correlation analysis and cluster analysis using DPS software. Grey correlation between 9 agronomic traits and the yield was in an order of lateral branch length > 100-pod weight > 100-grain weight > plump pod percentage > plant height > shelling percentage > branch number per plant > effective branch number > pod number per plant, in which, the first five indexes had a high correlation with the yield, indicating that these indexes should be emphasized in the variety selection. The 20 introduced peanut cultivars were divided into 3 groups by cluster analysis, among them, group Ⅲ had excellent agronomic traits, such as plant height, lateral branch length, 100-pod weight and 100-grain weight and so on, which were suitable for planting in the southeastern margin of Tarim Basin in Xinjiang. The study also proved the positive correlation between grain size and peanut yield.
