Abstract:

In order to explore the control effect of garlic volatiles on Myzus persicae population and provide scientific reference for intercropping control of Myzus persicae, the indoor pot feeding was used in this study. The effects of purple and white garlic varieties on the population number, population growth rate, repellent rate and interference effect of Myzus persicae were determined. The control effect of purple and white garlic varieties on Myzus persicae population was simulated. The results showed that garlic had significant effects on the population number, population growth rate and interference effect of Myzus persicae (P<0.05). Within 29 days, the effects of garlic on population number, population growth rate and interference effect of Myzus persicae were decreased by 76.84%, 27.03% and 27%, respectively. However, the effect of garlic volatiles on the repellent rate of Myzus persicae was not significant (P > 0.05). To the later stage, the control effect of garlic volatiles on Myzus persicae was more obvious, the strongest effect was 0.34. These results indicated that the volatiles of garlic had obvious control effect on Myzus persicae population.
